Disbound volume (separated into "booklets") of receipts for interest payments on the militia indents, chiefly for first-year payments, but also some for the third year, containing voucher and certificate numbers, signature of the county commissioner, soldiers' names, and amounts of principal and interest; separate booklets (never bound) of receipts for fourth-year interest payments; and registers (3 v.) of the first through fourth year payments on the militia indents, partially duplicating information found in the other volumes.

New Jersey State Treasurer's Office, by law in 1787, was directed to make interest payments on the state-issued certificates (militia indents) given to the officers and soldiers of New Jersey Militia units during the Revolutionary War.
